Day3- 21 days to run 30 minutes

Third day was a rest day. I got up about half an hour later, and went for walk around Lampton Park. Walked for about 20 minutes ( completed only a mile) and then stretched for a few mintues.
All in all a very simple routine that did not exert me. My leg muscles felt good by the end of it.
Will find out tomorrows schedule by today afternoon. I think it will be run for 90 seconds and walk for a minute done about 8 times ( this still works out to 20 minutes) OR walk for a minute and run for 2 minutes (done 8 times).
My gut feel is that I will struggle with this. I might complete a 2 minute run the first few times, but will probably tire after that.. Oh well!! there is only one way to find out- to go to the park tomorrow and run damnit run. OK, have got the mail, need to run 2 minutes straight and walk a minute to recover, this needs to be done 5 times, and the next 5 repetitions is like yesterday - 1:1 run:walk.
On further reflection, I have to break at least the 2 minute barrier consistently if I am looking at running 30 minutes straight within 18 more days.In fact by the end of this week, I'll be probably having to run 5-8 minutes straight with breaks of only 1 minute..

I remember reading on someones blog that, the most difficult part for him was to run for 12 minutes the first time..once he did that suddenly he found himself at the next level. At this rate I have lots of levels to cross!! ha ha ( nervous laugh)
On a positive note my weight seems to be moving closer to 85 but cannot make out how much as I am not using an electronic scale.
One routine I really liked:(http://www.healthspanblog.com/2009/04/20/losing-weight-questions-about-running-nutrition-and-working-out-at-home/)Conjugate training. One circuit might be, sprint 50 yards, drop do 20 pushups, sprint another 50, do some bodyweight squats, sprint 50 do some situps.
Mark from office who is a regular runner just bought a new pair of running shoes. they cost him 70 odd pounts ( this with a 10% discount). Hmm..ideas for a motivation gift if I complete 21 days? hmm hmm.
