Starting exercise- A commitment

OK after a year of my new years resolution, I am finally off my ass trying to get in shape.

The last few days have been just about me getting off the sofa and going to the park - a simple schedule of walk 6 mins and run 1 min ( done 3 times) is what I have done for the last few days.

Tomorrow onwards , its run 1 min and walk 1 min - 10 reps ( lets see how many I manage)

I am also watching my diet and will hopefully integrate HIIT ( High Intensity Inverval Training) at some point of my running schedule. What I plan to finally stick to ( when I reach that level of fitness where I can run for 30 mins non stop) is run for 30 mins every alternate day ( non stop - out of which about 5 mins is a full blown sprint . The sequence should look like 5 mins jog- 1 min sprint - 5 mins jog - 1 min sprint - so on for 30 mins ).
I use the rest days either for a simple walk or maybe yoga-- lets see..

Right now my focus is that I get my body into a habit where it misses going for a walk /run/jog for atleast 30 mins every day - morning or after office..

Next step - Buying and refurbishing a Bullet ( heck that why I am getting in shape)..but thats another blog.

Stats - Weight - 86 kgs
